The University of Mary has announced the development of a cutting-edge Research and Performance Center that will combine academics and athletics in a unique way. The center will feature a premier facility for strength and conditioning, sports medicine, and nutrition, as well as a grandstand for Marauders football games with seating for 2,500 fans.
The upper level of the center will double as classroom space for students in the Saint Gianna School of Health Sciences, providing hands-on learning opportunities for future healthcare professionals alongside scholar-athletes. Additionally, the Multipurpose Sports Dome, which will be the largest facility of its kind in North Dakota, will serve as the home venue for soccer and softball games.
The dome, spanning 275 feet by 400 feet and reaching a height of 85 feet at its peak, is designed for year-round use and will be available for rental to not only University of Mary scholar-athletes but also to the broader Bismarck-Mandan community. Local youth sports organizations, club teams, and regional tournaments will have access to the space, making it a vital resource for sports and athletics in the area.
The new complex represents a significant investment in both the academic and athletic programs at the University of Mary, providing state-of-the-art facilities for students and athletes alike, as well as fostering a sense of community by opening up rental opportunities to the broader public.
