UND’s Sheri Kleinsasser Stockmoe to be among four inducted into North Dakota Sports Hall of Fame this summer – Grand Forks Herald


The Kleinsasser family is set to have a busy year of hall of fame inductions. Sheri Kleinsasser Stockmoe, a former UND women’s basketball player, will be inducted into the North Dakota Sports Hall of Fame in June. Her brother, Jim Kleinsasser, will be inducted into the National College Football Hall of Fame in December. The North Dakota Sports Hall of Fame inductions will take place on June 21 at the Jamestown Civic Center. The other inductees for 2025 are Gary Eslinger, Randy Hedberg, and Tim Olson. Kleinsasser Stockmoe was a standout player at UND, setting several records and receiving numerous accolades during her time there. Eslinger, a Bismarck native and former University of Minnesota football player, was a decorated college player and went on to play in the NFL. Hedberg, a North Dakota native, has had a successful coaching career and Olson, also from Bismarck, had a career in professional baseball. The Kleinsasser family is being recognized for their contributions to the world of sports, making them a proud representation of North Dakota’s athletic talent. The upcoming hall of fame ceremonies will celebrate their achievements and highlight their lasting impact on the sports community.
