Mary Shypkoski, a resident of Dickinson, passed away at the age of 100 on March 28, 2025. She will be remembered at a funeral service on April 3, 2025, at Stevenson Funeral Home, followed by burial at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Cemetery in Fairfield. Born in Billings County, North Dakota, Mary married John Shypkoski and lived on a farm near Belfield, where they shared a love of animals. After John’s passing, Mary moved to Dickinson, where she spent her final years. She is survived by siblings and nieces and nephews, and remembered by a community grateful for her life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Demetrius Church or the Ukrainian Cultural Institute in Dickinson. The family expresses gratitude to St. Luke’s Nursing Home for their care.
