Miss Amazing Honors People with Disabilities | Latest News, Sports, Opportunities

Sisters Samantha Youngren and Grace Redding brought a celebration of individuals with disabilities to North Dakota by organizing the Miss Amazing Pageant. The pageant, held on March 8-9 in Minot, crowned Benisha Rai, Sam Kolden, Theresa Kraft, Danielle Hartson, and Carrie Thompson as winners in different categories. Contestants focused on three core skill areas including interviews, introductions on stage, and passion presentations. The event also included workshops, group activities, and a service project where participants made tie blankets to donate to Souris Valley Animal Shelter. Youngren, a former Miss North Dakota, was inspired to bring the pageant to North Dakota after volunteering at a similar event in South Dakota. The goal of the pageant was to celebrate individuals who are often not recognized, and provide them with opportunities to showcase their talents and give back to the community. The event was a success, with participants and organizers looking forward to future editions of the Miss Amazing Pageant in North Dakota.
