Hawks falter in first game at ETSU Invitational


North Dakota softball team faced a 4-1 defeat at the hands of East Tennessee State, bringing their overall record to 13-13 for the season. Despite out-hitting the host team, North Dakota stranded nine base runners and left the bases full in key innings. ETSU took an early lead with two runs in the first inning, aided by walks and errors. The Bucs added two more runs in the fifth inning with a two-run home run. North Dakota’s lone run came in the sixth inning from Angie Dumlao, driving home Callie Honig.

The Hawks are set to play two games on Friday, with a rematch against ETSU and a game against Dartmouth.
