Fairfield University Women’s Tennis suffered a tough 6-1 loss to North Dakota in Orlando, with Victoria Mandma securing the lone point for the team with a win at #1 singles. Mandma’s victory came in a 6-4, 6-4 match. Maria Gell also put up a strong fight at #5 singles, pushing her match to a tiebreak but narrowly losing in a 6-4, 7-6 (7), 1-0 (4) marathon. North Dakota clinched the doubles point at #1 and #3 to secure the overall victory. Despite the tough loss, Fairfield Women’s Tennis will continue their matches in Florida.
