Jamestown Students to Compete in North Dakota State Spelling Bee – Jamestown Sun


The 2025 North Dakota State Spelling Bee is set to take place on March 17 at the Bismarck Event Center, sponsored by various organizations including the North Dakota Newspaper Association Education Foundation and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. One hundred students from across the state will participate, with the winner advancing to the 2025 Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. The event includes a written test in the morning, with the top scorers moving on to the oral spelldown session in the afternoon. Prizes include a trip to Washington, a subscription to Merriam-Webster Unabridged Online, and more. Competitors are in grades 4-8, and the event is organized by the North Dakota Association of County Superintendents. Students from various regions in North Dakota will be participating, aiming to showcase their spelling skills and potentially become the 2025 state champion.
