The State Theatre, a popular entertainment center in State College, hosted a free early access screening of the sci-fi comedy “Mickey 17” starring Robert Pattinson. The film, based on a novel by Edward Ashton, follows the story of Mickey, a disposable human sent to populate a new world. The screening was made possible with the help of Warner Bros. at Penn State, with Seth Breinberg serving as the film publicity ambassador.

Breinberg, a second-year advertising student, actively promotes upcoming films on campus and designed merchandise for “Mickey 17.” The screening drew in a large crowd, with attendees excited to see Pattinson in action. The film received positive reviews from viewers, with many praising its political humor and costumes.

Despite not being officially released until March 7, 2025, “Mickey 17” was a hit among science fiction and Pattinson fans at the early screening. The event showcased the enthusiasm for film among Penn State students and the local community. The success of the screening highlighted the collaborative efforts of the State Theatre, Warner Bros. at Penn State, and film ambassador Seth Breinberg in bringing engaging entertainment to the State College area.
