SDSU Welcomes Denver for Pink Game

South Dakota State’s women’s basketball team is gearing up for their final two regular-season games at home in Brookings. They will be hosting Denver on Thursday and St. Thomas on Saturday at the First Bank & Trust Arena. The Jackrabbits are currently 24-3 overall and are still undefeated at 14-0 in Summit League play. They recently secured the Summit League regular-season title and the top seed for the upcoming conference tournament.

SDSU leads the Summit League in various categories, including opponent scoring, field goal percentage, rebounding, and assist/turnover ratio. Senior Brooklyn Meyer is a standout player for the team, scoring 34 points in their last game against Kansas City. She is the leading scorer for the Jackrabbits, averaging 17.6 points per game.

The team is also ranked No. 25 in the WBCA Coaches Poll and is receiving votes in the AP Poll. Senior Paige Meyer recently became the Division I career assists leader for SDSU.

The Jackrabbits have a 61-game winning streak in Summit League regular-season games, which is a top-10 NCAA record for consecutive conference victories. They are looking to finish the regular season unbeaten in conference play for the third straight year, a feat that has never been achieved in Summit League history.

Fans can support the team and the Kay Yow Cancer Fund at the annual Pink Game on Thursday. The Jackrabbits are determined to finish the regular season strong and carry that momentum into the conference tournament.
