The North Dakota Museum of Art in Grand Forks is hosting events in connection with its “Women at War” exhibition. The exhibition, curated by Monika Fabijanska, explores the impact of the Russian invasion of and war with Ukraine. Fabijanska’s exhibition showcases works by Ukrainian artists and provides a platform for women narrators of history. The exhibition has received critical acclaim and is on display at the museum through March 30. In conjunction with the exhibition, the museum is hosting a gallery talk with Fabijanska and a film screening event featuring short art films by Ukrainian artists. The films, produced by Alevtina Kakhidze and Dana Kavelina, address themes of war, gender perspectives, and historical trauma. The events are free and open to the public, providing an opportunity for the community to engage with the art and ideas presented in the exhibition.
