Gas prices in North Dakota remain stable – The Dickinson Press

The average price of gasoline in North Dakota has remained steady at $2.96 per gallon, according to GasBuddy’s latest survey. This price is 9.8 cents higher than a month ago but just 0.8 cents higher than a year ago. In comparison, the national average price of gasoline has decreased to $3.08 per gallon. The cheapest gas station in North Dakota is currently priced at $2.79 per gallon, while the most expensive station is charging $3.11 per gallon.

Gas prices in neighboring areas, such as Sioux Falls, S.D., Fargo, N.D., and statewide in South Dakota, are also fluctuating. Despite recent spikes, prices are stabilizing or declining in some regions, according to Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. He anticipates some upward movement in gas prices in the coming weeks due to ongoing geopolitical developments.

Historically, North Dakota gas prices have varied, with the state’s average price at $2.21 per gallon ten years ago, $2.95 per gallon last year, and $1.64 per gallon in 2016. GasBuddy, known for tracking fuel prices nationwide, updates its reports 288 times per day across nearly 150,000 stations in the U.S. and Canada. For real-time pricing data and historical trends, consumers can visit GasBuddy’s website.
