North Dakota softball team staged an incredible comeback in the seventh inning to defeat New Mexico with a score of 10-9. The Hawks were down 9-5 before scoring five runs to take the lead, including a go-ahead home run by Camryn Lasota. This win snapped a four-game losing streak for North Dakota. In an earlier game, the Hawks lost 8-4 to Tarleton State.

Lasota had a standout performance with three hits and three RBIs, including her first career home run. Jackie Albrecht also had a significant impact with two hits and five RBIs, including a two-run single that sparked the comeback. The win was secured by Unity Nelson, who retired the Lobos in order in the bottom of the seventh.

Moving forward, North Dakota will participate in the Wofford Invitational in South Carolina, playing five games against Wofford, Buffalo, and Tennessee State. The team showcased strong offensive performances against New Mexico, matching their season high in runs and RBIs. Multiple players had career-best performances, highlighting the team’s depth and potential for success in future games.
