Fargo Mourns the Loss of Republican Rep. Josh Christy

Fargo, N.D. is preparing to say goodbye to Republican Rep. Josh Christy, who tragically passed away in Bismarck at the age of 43. Funeral services for the beloved politician will take place on Friday at Living Waters Lutheran Church in south Fargo, starting at 11 a.m. Christy will then be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery in Fargo.

Christy was elected in 2022 to represent District 27, which includes a southern section of Fargo, as well as Horace and Oxbow. In addition to his political career, Christy was known as an advanced computing and AI strategic consultant. He is survived by his wife Mary and three daughters. Mary Christy currently serves as U.S. Rep. Julie Fedorchak’s Deputy State Director.

In honor of Rep. Christy’s memory, Gov. Kelly Armstrong has ordered all U.S. and North Dakota flags to be flown at half-staff from dawn to dusk on Friday. This gesture serves as a tribute to the contributions and dedication that Christy gave to the community during his time in office.

The entire Fargo community is grieving the loss of Rep. Josh Christy, a dedicated public servant and family man. His impact on District 27 and beyond will be remembered for years to come.
