Darnell Duckett Joins University of North Dakota Football Staff
The University of North Dakota’s head football coach, Eric Schmidt, recently announced the addition of Darnell Duckett to the Fighting Hawks staff for the 2025 season. Duckett, who previously worked with the New York Jets, Washington Huskies, Maryland Terrapins, and Salisbury University, will serve as the Director of Player Personnel & Office Operations.
During his time with the New York Jets as a Nunn-Wooten Scouting Fellow, Duckett supported scouts by assisting with day-to-day operations, organizing workouts for free agents, and preparing scouting reports. He also has experience as a Football Recruiting Analyst and Player Development Assistant for Washington and Maryland.
Duckett began his coaching career as a wide receivers coach at Salisbury University, where he also played as a wide receiver and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and athletic coaching. Coach Schmidt praised Duckett’s ability to build relationships and evaluate and recruit student-athletes, making him a valuable addition to the program.
