Downtown Stanley sees large response to overnight fire


A fire broke out early Saturday morning in a multi-use building in downtown Stanley, North Dakota, prompting a response from multiple departments. The fire was discovered by an officer on patrol who noticed a strong smell of smoke on South Main Street. The two-story building has residential units on the top floor and businesses on the bottom. Everyone was safely evacuated from the building and fire crews from Stanley, Tioga, and Powers Lake responded to the scene.
