Depth propels No. 17/18 North Dakota to 4-2 victory against Minnesota Duluth

In a thrilling match, the No. 17/18 North Dakota hockey team secured a 4-2 victory over Minnesota Duluth at the Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks, N.D. The win marked a significant breakthrough for UND, snapping a five-game winless streak on Friday nights and achieving back-to-back regulation wins for the first time since December. The victory also helped them climb to No. 18 in the Pairwise Rankings.

The depth of the team was on display as all four goals came from bottom six forwards, with Carter Wilkie leading the charge with a goal and two assists. Other contributors included Cody Croal, Ben Strinden, Cade Littler, and Sacha Boisvert. Goaltender T.J. Semptimphelter made 30 saves to secure the win.

With this triumph, North Dakota now sits fourth in the league standings and looks ahead to their next game on February 22 against Minnesota Duluth. It was a well-deserved victory for the Fighting Hawks, showcasing their resilience and determination on the ice.
