Brown and Vogel to be Inducted into the North Dakota Agriculture Hall of Fame – Jamestown Sun

The North Dakota Agriculture Hall of Fame will induct Gabe Brown and Sarah Vogel on March 5 at the North Dakota Winter Show in Valley City. Gabe Brown, a pioneer in regenerative agriculture, is known for his innovative conservation work and mentoring of producers worldwide. Sarah Vogel, a legendary advocate for family farmers, made history by becoming the first woman elected as North Dakota’s commissioner of agriculture in 1988. Vogel’s national class-action lawsuit against the USDA during the 1980s farm crisis protected the rights of 240,000 farm families and led to fair appeals processes for USDA programs. Both individuals have made significant contributions to the agricultural industry in North Dakota. The North Dakota Agriculture Hall of Fame was established to honor individuals who have made a lasting impact on the state’s agriculture sector.
