Step With Hope, an organization providing humanitarian aid to communities affected by conflict in Ukraine, relies on the support of volunteers to coordinate with local community centers located in Ukraine-controlled territories near Russian-occupied cities. Leveraging technology such as Telegram, WhatsApp, and Viber, as well as a customized chatbot and CRM system provided by the Center for Humanitarian Technology (CFHT), Step With Hope is able to efficiently aid about 8,000 families per week. The digital tools help automate requests for aid, streamline registration processes, and track the long-term needs of families, ultimately enhancing the organization’s relief efforts.
Step With Hope also collaborates with other organizations like the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) and the Ukraine Trust Chain, benefitting from their logistical support and activities related to psychological help and the distribution of food parcels to those in need. By sharing resources and cooperating with other humanitarian organizations, Step With Hope is able to provide organized and dignified support to thousands of individuals impacted by conflict in Ukraine. Through this collaborative effort and the utilization of digital tools, Step With Hope aims to offer long-term assistance beyond immediate aid and empower communities to rebuild and thrive amidst challenging circumstances.
