North Dakota Tourism Booming in 2024: State Sees Increase in Visitors and Revenue
In 2024, North Dakota experienced a surge in tourism, with residents and visitors alike enjoying all the state has to offer. From snowboarding and skiing to ice fishing and cross-country skiing, there is something for everyone in North Dakota.
Director of Tourism and Marketing, Sara Otte Coleman, reported an increase in visitors both by air and land crossings, with Cass County surpassing $1 billion in visitor expenditures for the first time. The state’s tourism website saw a 30% increase in traffic, with over 3.6 million visitors.
Looking ahead to 2025, the tourism department has unveiled a new campaign highlighting the genuine nature of the state, featuring North Dakotans and visitors enjoying what North Dakota has to offer. Additionally, new attractions are set to open in 2025, including a hotel at Four Bears Casino, a slide park in Fargo, and Scandinavian-themed restaurants in Minot.
