Grand Forks natives and best friends Jackson Kunz and Dane Montgomery are making the most of their time together on the University of North Dakota hockey team. The duo, who have been playing together since they were 10 years old, are living out their dream of playing college hockey together and being roommates. With Kunz in his senior year, this season is their last chance to shine on the same team, and they are focused on making the most of it. Kunz is tied for second on the team in goals, while Montgomery has been a versatile player who excels wherever the coach needs him. As they reflect on their time together, they are grateful for the opportunity to play in front of the passionate fans at North Dakota. The pair is determined to make this season a successful one, starting with this weekend’s games against Robert Morris during Hockey Fights Cancer Weekend at The Ralph.
