Saab and Singapore’s Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) have extended their collaboration on underwater technologies through an expanded Memorandum of Understanding. Signed at the Sweden – Singapore Royal Business Forum during Sweden’s first state visit to Singapore, the agreement focuses on exploring cutting-edge underwater solutions for enhanced maritime security.
The strengthened partnership between Saab and DSTA will involve joint studies of operational concepts and emerging technologies to build and safeguard capabilities. Saab’s Deputy CEO, Anders Carp, highlighted the cooperation’s significance in strengthening maritime security and leveraging expertise in underwater technology innovation. DSTA’s Deputy Chief Executive, Roy Chan, emphasized the opportunity to advance underwater defence technology and position Singapore as a leader in maritime resilience and innovation.
