Bison Volleyball Concludes Regular Season with Victory Over North Dakota
FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State University (NDSU) volleyball team capped off its regular season with a solid 3-1 win against North Dakota on Tuesday night at Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse. This victory secured the Bison a second consecutive season sweep of their rivals and concluded the regular season with a record of 12-13 overall and 8-8 in Summit League play.
With this win, NDSU secured the fourth seed in the upcoming Summit League Championship where they will face fifth-seeded Denver on Sunday, November 24, at 3:00 p.m. in Kansas City, Missouri.
Ali Hinze was the standout player for the Bison, posting her 70th career double-double with 17 kills, 14 digs, and five assists. Arianna Blohm also contributed significantly, recording 11 kills and a match-high eight blocks. Setter Maddy Dombeck facilitated the offense with a double-double, tallying 26 assists and 12 digs, while Logan O’Brien anchored the defense with a match-high 20 digs.
The match saw North Dakota initially take the lead in the first set, but NDSU rallied from a 17-10 deficit to clinch the set 28-26. North Dakota responded by taking the second set 25-21, however, the Bison regained control, winning the third set 25-21. In a thrilling fourth set, NDSU bounced back from a late deficit to win 27-25, sealing the match.
As they prepare for the Summit League Championship, the Bison will look to build on this momentum against Denver. Fans are encouraged to support the team as they strive for postseason success.
