Fargo Man Accepts Plea Deal in Downtown Beating Case

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – Travice Ledoux, a man implicated in a violent downtown Fargo assault, has accepted a plea deal amid ongoing legal proceedings against multiple suspects. Originally charged with felony aggravated assault and as an accomplice to aggravated assault, Ledoux saw the felony charge dismissed, while the accomplice charge was reduced to a misdemeanor. He received credit for time served since his arrest in April and was sentenced to two years of supervised probation.

Fargo Police were called to the scene of a brawl on April 6, 2024, in the 600 block of NP Avenue North. Witnesses reported trying to intervene when a group was attacking a victim. Court documents reveal that one victim endured severe injuries, including a broken nose and bones, and required surgery involving a titanium plate in his forehead. The other victim was knocked unconscious, sustaining a broken tooth and extensive bruising.

Following the incident, Ledoux was arrested on April 21 as investigators identified all parties involved. Since then, five additional suspects have faced charges related to the attack: Angelica Hernandez, Sergio Ganados, Terrell Smith, Esiquio Hernandez, and John Hernandez. In October, Angelica Hernandez pleaded guilty to her role as an accomplice to aggravated assault, also reduced to a misdemeanor, and is currently under supervised probation.

Esiquio Hernandez is facing charges of robbery and aggravated assault and has pleaded not guilty, with a court date set for December. Meanwhile, John Hernandez and Terrell Smith are charged with aggravated assault, with their next hearings scheduled for December and spring 2025, respectively.

This case continues to unfold as law enforcement seeks to address the violent altercations that led to these serious injuries.
