Country singer Sundance Head, who won Season 11 of ‘The Voice,’ was injured by a stray bullet at his ranch in Texas. Head, 46, was taken to a hospital where he was stabilized after the round lodged in his stomach. He is expected to recover without surgery. Head’s wife confirmed on Facebook that the bullet missed vital organs and did not require removal. It is believed that the bullet came from a nearby hunter’s errant gunfire, and it was not self-inflicted. The Smith County Sheriff’s Office has not provided further details about the incident. Head, who was coached by Blake Shelton on “The Voice” in 2016, released an album in 2022 and returned to the show for Shelton’s send-off last year. Despite his father, Roy Head, being a musician, Sundance did not pursue music until later in life. He had previously tried to advance on “American Idol” but found success on “The Voice.” NBCUniversal Media, LLC owns both “The Voice” and NBC News. The singer is now recovering from the incident and his agent is awaiting more details about the accident. Prayers have been requested for his full recovery.
