The University of South Dakota announced their 2025 football schedule, featuring six home games at the DakotaDome. The season kicks off with a road trip to Iowa State on August 30 before returning home to face Northern Colorado on September 13. The Coyotes will also host the Jackrabbits on November 8. In between, they will play Drake, Murray State, Illinois State, North Dakota, and South Dakota State at home.
The team will begin Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC) play with a trip to North Dakota State on September 27, followed by a matchup against Murray State on October 4 for Dakota Days. After a two-week road trip, they will return to the DakotaDome to face Illinois State, North Dakota, and South Dakota State consecutively.
