Bison dominate Murray State in first game as No.1-ranked team | WDAY Radio

North Dakota State University (NDSU) continued their dominant season with a 59-6 victory over Murray State in Kentucky. The Bison scored on all six of their first-half possessions to take a commanding 42-3 lead at halftime. Quarterback Cam Miller and wide receiver Bryce Lance connected for three touchdowns in the first half alone.

Running back CharMar Brown also had a standout performance, rushing for three touchdowns on the day. Backup quarterback Nathan Hayes came in for Miller in the second half and added two more touchdown passes as NDSU cruised to victory.

Defensively, the Bison forced turnovers and held Murray State to just field goals, keeping them out of the end zone. The win improved NDSU’s record to 8-1 on the season and 5-0 in conference play.

Looking ahead, NDSU will face Northern Iowa at home next Saturday. Northern Iowa has struggled this season, losing six straight games, including a close defeat to Missouri State last week. Head coach Mark Farley and the Panthers are facing challenges both on and off the field, as financial issues have plagued the athletic department.

Despite these struggles, NDSU remains a powerhouse in FCS football, holding the top spot in the FCS Coaches Poll. With a strong defense and high-powered offense, the Bison are aiming for another successful season under head coach Jeff Durk.

The next game will be a chance for NDSU to continue their winning streak and solidify their position as a top-ranked team in the FCS.
