A helicopter crashed into a radio tower in Houston on Sunday, killing all four people aboard, including a child. The tower was a guyed tower with cables attached to the ground, owned by SBA Communications. The tower was acquired by SBA Communications on September 4, and there was a notice to air missions to warn pilots. The crash brought down the tower, and debris covers about 4 acres of land. Some vehicles on the ground were damaged, but there have been no reports of injuries to people on the ground. Police and residents of the neighborhood expressed relief that more people weren’t hurt or killed in the accident, which they described as a horrible tragedy that could have been much worse. The ages and names of those killed have not been released by officials.
