Popular TikTok creator Terryon Thomas, also known as Mr. Prada, has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated criminal damage to property, resisting an officer, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Police in Baton Rouge issued a warrant for his arrest after he reportedly refused to comply with officers during a traffic stop. The vehicle he was driving was reported stolen, and he allegedly backed into the officers’ car before fleeing the scene. Thomas was arrested in Dallas and is awaiting extradition to Baton Rouge.
The arrest warrant came after the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook about a similar incident involving a stolen vehicle and a person of interest matching Thomas’ description. The stolen vehicle belonged to therapist William Nicholas Abraham, whose body was found wrapped in a tarp on the side of a highway, leading to an ongoing homicide investigation.
Social media speculation falsely accused Thomas of being involved in Abraham’s death, with many posts spreading on TikTok claiming he was wanted for murder. Thomas gained fame on TikTok for his comedic videos, although he was criticized for copying content from other creators.
Representatives for Thomas and Baton Rouge police have not commented on the situation. Thomas had previously defended himself for replicating other creators’ content in now-deleted videos. The investigation into Abraham’s death continues, but no official suspects have been named.
