Over 550 killed by Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon, causing mass exodus

Tens of thousands of people fled southern Lebanon on Tuesday as Israel intensified its aerial assault, resulting in the country’s deadliest day since the 2006 war with Hezbollah. Nearly 500 people were killed on Monday, with the death toll rising to at least 558 by Tuesday.
